House Of Diamond
Youth is a perpetual intoxication; it is a fever of the mind. ~François Duc de la Rochefoucauld
I’m going to start posting a regular tagged entry about the destruction my children create
for me throughout the week. My youngest will most likely hog this spotlight -only because he tends to make the most horribly intimidating messes. I’m sure there will be times, however, when my oldest son decides to clown for the camera or I happen to catch him doing something laughable… and then the blackmail material shall commence.
I love these kids so much, even when I want to bury my head in the ground and scream… but they are Gemini’s and as awesome as they both can be each has his own equal and opposite qualities. Charlie is bright and fearless and races everywhere he goes on those cute little dimply legs of his. Bastian is very sensitive and intelligent -he has a gentle personality and when he’s happy the whole world is a little brighter.
Sometimes I wish they’d tone down the boyish energy in the house. I know that without all the messes and injuries and destruction of (my) property I wouldn’t have the equally heartwarming moments when we all get to pile under a blanket together, or when one of them gives me a kiss back when I steal one. Take the good with the bad is the lesson here. As bad as they can be, they’re just as good underneath.
Look for the tag House Of Diamond in the right-hand column and you’ll be able to see all the madness first hand as I post it.
Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing up is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing. ~Phyllis Diller
